Caton St. Paul's - A "good" school

At the end of March, Ofsted Inspectors visited our school, and their reports have now been published. We have been deemed to be a good school, and we are very pleased with the contents of the report.

Behaviour, Safety of Pupils, and Teaching were recognised as being Outstanding and this reflects the enthusiasm and commitment that we see daily from our teachers.

Some areas for improvement have been highlighted for us, and we look forward to implementing these to make the school even better.

WHEELIE WEDNESDAYS - WIN A BIKE!

All children who cycle to school on Wednesdays will receive a raffle ticket, which will be entered into a draw to win a bicycle at the end of term. Don't worry if you live too far away to cycle all the way, the last part will be fine.
Don’t forget to ask for your raffle ticket!

Governor Vacancies

We are now taking nominations for a Parent Governor. This is an interesting and challenging role, and a real opportunity to influence the shape of the school. There will also shortly be a vacancy for a Foundation Governor. If you are interested or would like further information, please contact Dr. Rucklidge on 770450 or call into the school office.

Headteacher Appointment

Dear Parents,

At the Governors' meeting on Tuesday the 6th of March, we appointed Mrs Karen Price, as headteacher to succeed Mrs O'Hare from next September.

Mrs Price is currently headteacher at Kirkland St. Helen's CE School, near Garstang, a school very similar to St Paul's. In her time there, Mrs Price has shown she has the same inspirational leadership skills and ability to raise standards that Mrs O'Hare has shown here over the past eleven years.

We are all very sorry to be losing Mrs O'Hare but the Governors are sure that the school will continue to progress under Mrs Price's leadership.
